CRAFT + EOI NATIONAL DESIGN ECOSYSTEM
Carry craft knowledge forward while keeping its identity visible.
Artisans, craft clusters, producer groups and self-help groups can enter the EOI Design Ecosystem with a technique, material strength, existing product or development need. EOI can help create a respectful brief and connect suitable young or experienced designers to explore contemporary products while keeping origin, authorship, feasibility and fair commercial terms visible.
Present the craft strength
Show the technique, materials, making capacity and cultural context that must be understood before design begins.
Develop alongside makers
Design direction is shaped around the makers’ knowledge, practical limits and the aspects of craft identity that should remain protected.
Explore a market-ready range
Selected ideas may progress into samples or collaborations only after roles, attribution, costs, IP and commercial expectations are agreed.
CLEAR ANSWERS · NO SALES SCRIPT
Questions worth answering before the next step.
Can artisan groups register without exporter-level documents?+
Yes. The artisan route uses lighter, more appropriate questions about craft, authorship, group reality, capacity, support needs and consent. Export and commercial support can be understood separately.
Does EOI work with factories and artisan clusters?+
Yes. The assessment and support route differs because an export-scale factory and an artisan group should not be measured through the same systems or documentary expectations.
Does EOI guarantee orders or business after registration?+
No. Registration helps EOI understand capability and fit; it does not create a promise of work, representation, employment or commercial commitment.
A THOUGHTFUL FIRST STEP
Let us understand the capability and purpose behind your work.
A short, relevant introduction helps EOI recognise where your contribution may create meaningful value.
Before you begin
- Allow approximately 3–5 minutes
- No document upload is required initially
- Share strengths and present limitations clearly
- Registration supports assessment and creates no commitment for either side
